As many may know, Thoroughbred Printing suffered a significant fire at its Lexington facility on North Broadway. Due to the tremendous support and effort of its staff, management, loyal clients and the graphics community Thoroughbred was able to maintain service to its valued customers by utilizing sister plants API in Northern Kentucky and Alliance Printing in Hamilton, Ohio along with other local printers. A special thanks to all those that helped and especially the production staff who spent months away from home and families working additional shifts at our remote locations.
Thoroughbred is pleased to announce it is now fully operational and ready to serve with new binding and prepress equipment. Our electronic prepress department has installed all new state-of-the-art equipment including Heidelberg’s Prinect workflow system which features web based file uploading and remote access proofing and we now have all the latest graphic software. Our bindery now has expanded capabilities with a 20 pocket perfect binder and a 10 pocket saddle-stitcher with a cover feeder and an interchangeable inserter for bound in cards and envelopes. In addition we have installed a new computerized cutting system along new a battery of folders with gate fold and roto perf/score capabilities.
